FDO memberships
FDO has three types of membership:
- Regular members (membership fee 15€).
- Regular members (membership fee 200€).
- Honorary members
Memberfees are free for members of the presidium and departments and also for honorary members. The amount of the annual membership fee is decided separately for full members and supporting members by the annual meeting of the association.
Become a full member
As a full member, you can participate in competitions and training courses administered by the FDO. As a member of FDO, you are also automatically a member of the Finnish Dance Sports Federation (FDSF). Full members over 18 years of age have the right to vote and stand for election in the association's meetings.
To become a full member, please follow these steps:
1. Register
If you are a new member (i.e. you were not on the FDO register before 2019):
Click on "Register" on the homepage of www.fdo.fi, fill in the requested personal data and finally click on "Register". All fields are mandatory.
NOTE! As the entry form verifies the age of the competitor and the fees are charged directly to the competitor, the name and date of birth must be provided by the competitor, even if the competitor is a minor. Minors will be asked for their parent's contact information, which will be removed from the system when the member reaches the age of majority.
The system will send your membership number to the e-mail address you provide, which will serve as your user ID in the system.
NOTE! If you do not receive a return mail within a few minutes, please check your spam box!
Use the membership number you have received and the password you have created to log in to the system.
If you have been a member before (i.e. longer than 2019), your contact details are already in the association's register. In this case, log in with your old username (= your membership number) to the membership register at www.fdo.fi. If you do not remember your username, do not re-register, but contact the office.
If you do not remember your password, click on the 'Forgot your password' button and you will receive an email with a link to create a new password. Please note that the message will be sent to the email address on file, so if it is out of date or invalid, the message will not be delivered. In this case, please contact the office.
2. Pay the membership fee and other necessary fees
Each registered member can pay the fees on his/her own membership page, i.e. in his/her profile, via the online shop (Shopping Cart). The online shop is always open. In our online shop, you can pay using the online banking IDs of Finnish banks, the most common credit cards and MobilePay.
Payment in the online shop is made through the Paytrail Plc website. Paytrail Oyj acts as both the seller and the recipient of the payment for payments made with Visa, Visa Electron and MasterCard cards, and the transaction takes place between the customer and Paytrail Oyj. The FDO continues to act as the marketer and supplier of the products and is responsible for other obligations relating to the transaction.
To make a payment, log in with your credentials and select the payment you wish to make by clicking on the shopping cart.
At the time of payment, please remember to allow the payment service to return to the FDO page before closing the page!
Please check your profile to see if your payment was successful and contact our office immediately if you have any problems.
So what fees do I have to pay?
To compete in FDO competitions you will need to pay a membership fee (not for series marked Open), a competition licence and a competition fee.
The membership fee (15€) and the competition licence (20€) are valid from the date of payment until the end of the year (31.12.). New fees will be on sale at the beginning of each year.
The competition fee (varies per competition) is competition specific and is paid separately for each competition.
You are warmly welcome to become a member without competing! In this case you only need to pay the membership fee of 15 €!
